Eldon Career Center Mission Statement
The Eldon Career Center strives to elevate students
in the areas of technical and academic competencies. Becoming skilled workers
and lifetime learners through an approved, structured curriculum is a goal
for students. Leadership skills are also encouraged through involvement
in student and professional organizations, motivating students to become
critical thinkers and valuable citizens of their community.

Meet the Director

Willard Haley, the Director of the Eldon Career Center, received his Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Education and Agriculture Mechanization from the University of Missouri in 1983 and his Master Degree in Career and Technical Education in 1985, also from the University of Missouri. He is currently finishing the requirements for the Administrator Director Certificate through the University of Central Missouri.
Mr. Haley was raised on a family farm at Pilot Grove, Missouri where he graduated High School as Valedictorian in 1979. He began teaching Agriculture at Eldon High School in 1983. At that time, the Agriculture program had 39 students. During his 25 years of teaching Agriculture, the program grew to over 300 students with three agriculture teachers. The Eldon Agriculture Program is one of the best in the state and is recognized as a national 3-Star FFA Chapter.
Willard has been recognized as the Eldon Teacher of the Year, a Coca-Cola's Educator of Distinction recipient, MVA Teacher of the Year Alternate, and NVATA's National Outstanding Agriculture Education Teacher.
Willard is in his first year as Director of ECC. The school is utilizing the National Occupational Competency Testing Institute exam to improve rigor, advisory times to improve relationships, and hands-on practice to improve relevance.
