Matt Davis,
the Director of the Eldon Career Center, received his Bachelor
of Science in Agriculture Education from the University of Missouri
in 1999 and his Master Degree of Career and Technical Education
in 2001 from the University of Missouri. He is currently
working on his Educational Specialist Degree in School Administration
from William Woods University.
Matt began his career as an agriculture teacher
at the Eldon Career Center where he was one of three teachers
that worked with over 300 students. The agriculture program
at Eldon is one of the best programs in the state and has had
students compete at the national level in career development
events.
Matt began his fourth year as Director of ECC
in August of 2007. In his tenure, the school has changed
their name and image, increased enrollment in all classes, and
has split some traditional three-hour classes into three one-hour
classes. The
school is utilizing the National Occupational Competency Testing
Institute exam to improve rigor, advisory times to improve relationships,
and hands-on practice to improve relevance. |
