Eldon FFA Chapter Officer Agreement

• As elected to serve as an officer in the Eldon FFA Chapter, I agree to:
• Become a full and responsible part of a leadership team.
• Willingly accept responsibility.
• Work with all members in meeting their leadership, personal, and chapter goals.
• Lead by example
• Study and understand the FFA Constitution and By-Laws.
• Study and develop a working knowledge of parliamentary procedure.
• Memorize specific parts on all official ceremonies.
• Perform the duties of your office as stated in the Official FFA Manual.
• Dress neatly and appropriately for all occasions.
• Show respect for the rights of others and be courteous at all times.
• Be honest and not take unfair advantage of others.
• Respect the property of others.
• Refrain from loud, boisterous talk, swearing, and other unbecoming conduct.
• Demonstrate sportsmanship, being modest in winning and generous in defeat.
• Attend meetings promptly and respect the opinion of others in discussion.
• Take pride in our organization and the occupations of agriculture.
• Share experiences and knowledge gained by attending state and national activities.

The membership of the chapter have instituted a standing rule that any officer convicted of a misdemeanor theft, assault, DWI, MIP, or a felony while at school or a school function will be removed from office. Any other behavior by an officer in or outside of school, including those mentioned above, that reflects negatively on the FFA may result in suspension or removal from office and will be dealt with on an individual basis by the ethics committee. (Ethics committee shall include the executive committee and two members from each grade.)
