Adopt-A-Highway
The Eldon FFA Chapter has started a new project this year. The project was Adopt-A-Highway. The members were asked to volunteer to help clean up part of C Highway.
2010 Chapter Banquet
The Eldon FFA Chapter hosts a parent/member banquet every year. This years banquet was very successful. Over 550 people were present and everybody had a good time.
Operation Military Pride
The Eldon FFA Chapter has started a new project this Christmas Season. The new project is called “Operation Military Pride.” FFA members have been asked to bring in supplies to make up care packages to for soldiers from the Eldon area who are deployed. “Operation Military Pride” will run from December 1 to December 11.

Barnwarming
On Saturday, November 14, the Eldon FFA held its yearly barnwarmming dance. To get into the dance members had to bring one can of food that would benefit the Eldon Food Pantry. There were contestants from each grade, which had to play games throughout the dance. The candidates for the freshman class were Kendra Harwood and John Salmons, sophomores were Rochelle Edison and Gabe Sparks, juniors were Kara Harwood, Katie Kirkweg, Dakota McDaniel and Tyler Wary, and the seniors were Cheyanne Stark, Emily Harbison, Will Simpson and Mike Robinett. The 2009-2010 king and queen are Will Simpson, and Emily Harbison.

Trapshooting
On Saturday October 3rd the Eldon FFA chapter took 13 members to an area trapshooting event in Warrensburg. They started the competition at dawn and finished near dusk. There was a great turn out of spectators and our members did very well in the competition. This is a new activity for our chapter and we are excited to see it taking off so well. Members are still welcome to come to the remaining trapshooting events.
